Quote:The trash-talking ended Saturday and the one-on-one basketball began. When it was over, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, had defeated ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, 11-9.

The game, dubbed the Blobfish Basketball Classic, was played in front of a large crowd at Texas Southern University’s Health and Physical Education Arena in Houston.

So the former host of the self-proclaimed “man show” is now on so much soy that he loses a game of basketball to a Harvard lawyer that calls it “ringball”.

LION Ted, baby!

I looked at kimmel's twitter, and the alt-leftists in his mentions are literally shaking over him "giving a platform" to LION Ted, and how beto doesn't have a chance now. They're right in a sense, but it's not because of kimmel.

Latest Quinnipiac poll has Ted +11! #CruzToVictory

And that is why co-existence with liberals wills always be a pipe dream.

Ironic that this little soy feed sissy schmuck made his name as a pudgy short pervert on a tv show that objectified women.

spirit.....loved your post....

the beauty of it all is the "charity" aspect.....

too many forget about that on both sides of the aisle when it matters.....

there is a place for charity for the right reasons......

there isn't when the 'incentive' is the mail man.......

Looks like Lion Ted is palming the ball to me. Maybe we should call him Cheating Ted instead?

I wonder if Kimmel knew TSU was a HBCU when they lined up their gym to play the game? I have to give him props for giving that campus some extra publicity and a few bucks from the folks in the stands/concessions/etc.

Who is the super tall coach in the background by the way? Ralph Sampson maybe?

LOL. That's going to be one of the last times you hear the words "Victory for the Right in Houston" for a long time.

Beto will win Houston by 30 percent and Harris County by at least 10 percent. Every single Republican incumbent running county wide except Ed Emmitt (maybe) will lose their seats. Culbertson will lose to Fletcher. And I'm not sure Dan 'Kathaleen Wall with an eye patch' Crenshaw is a shoo-in in TX-2 either.

Regarding the statewide vote, there have been 2 other polls since the last Q poll. Both show Cruz under 50 percent and no more than 6 percent in front of Beto. I suspect that's where we were last week. You are free to think this one is in the bag.

heh, the Left can't even win a pick-up basketball game.

Apparently Cruz just doesn't look like Grayson Allen, he has the same game?

He trips his opponents?

Allen might have been at the game. I know he and Cruz met right before the game. But if you saw any of the "highlights" you would know that he and Cruz definitely don't play basketball similarly.

For a Harvard nerd, he didn't look that bad. Plays about as well as your average 50 year old.

Nice faceguard.

Who cares?

Houston doesn't elect the federal reps and senators for Texas.

Memphis and Nashville vote Blue. Thankfully the rest of the state votes Red.

It took them 2 hours to get to an 11-9 final. They were both gassed LOL. But the game was pretty rough for a 1-on-1. If Cruz had played that rough against Trump, who knows maybe he would have been elected President.
