I agree on the 9 win mark, but the rest is a fabrication. It has been well documented that Briles was Applewhite's initial target for OC, but he already had accepted the FAU gig. Briles wasn't forced on Applewhite as an heir apparent. Kendal and Major were teammates and knew each other from coaching in the LilXII together.

You missed my point. Briles was an Applewhite hire, not an AD hire. There is a big difference.

You missed my point. Briles was an Applewhite hire, not an AD hire. There is a big difference.

I thought the AD basically forced us to hire him this season. Either way we will live or die by Briles ability to coach offense. Still dont understand why we didn’t hire a new D coordinator either.

Because most people don’t replace the coordinator with the number one run defense and the number two scoring defense in conference unless you know you can do better than that.
