Week 1: Rank the AAC - St. H. Gink - 09-02-2018 07:31 PM 1. UCF -- Looks like the Knights didn't skip a beat from 2017 2. Cincy -- Impressive win against Chip Kelly's UCLA squad 3. S. Florida -- The transfer QB looked really good, albeit against Elon 4. Memphis -- Offense looked really good but Mercer is really bad 5. Houston -- Struggled early against Rice but came back to finish strong 6. Tulane -- Could've easily been a win against the ACC 7. Navy -- Not ranked lower by virtue of keeping it a 10-point game for a while 8. UConn -- Pindell will win you several games this season 9. SMU -- Blowout loss to a good UNT team 10. Tulsa -- What happened to Tulsa? 11. Temple -- Let's hope that loss was more rivalry motivated 12. ECU -- Bye bye Scottie RE: Week 1: Rank the AAC - Doglando - 09-02-2018 07:34 PM ucf memphis s fla houston navy cinci tulane temple smu tulsa uconn ecu RE: Week 1: Rank the AAC - Tigermaniac - 09-02-2018 07:36 PM 1. UCF 2. Memphis 3. Houston 4. USF 5. Cincy RE: Week 1: Rank the AAC - Ocalabull - 09-02-2018 07:37 PM Pretty accurate. I would drop Uconn below Tulsa though. Ucf looked good but uconn also looked really bad RE: Week 1: Rank the AAC - HuskyU - 09-02-2018 07:37 PM Never knew an FCS loss could get ya so highly ranked! RE: Week 1: Rank the AAC - MagicKnightmare - 09-02-2018 07:39 PM 1. UCF 2. Memphis 3. usf 4. Houston 5. Cincy 6. Navy 7. Tulane 8. UConn 9. SMU 10. Tulsa 11. Temple 12. Memphis - Very efficient win against inferior competition. 4. USF - 20 pt win over FCS. 5. Houston - 18 pt (come from behind) win over FBS. Slow start, but pretty finish. 6. Tulsa - not sure if they're truly the #6 team in AAC, but a win is a win, even if it's FCS LOSERS 7. Navy - beat up, 15 time zones away 8. Tulane - tragic, pulled defeat from the mouth of victory 9. UConn - beat up by the best in AAC 10. SMU - dominated, but at least by an FBS 11. Temple - horrible 12. ECU - pitiful RE: Week 1: Rank the AAC - Kruciff - 09-02-2018 07:49 PM 1. UCF 2. The Bearcats did take down the best team on the slate this week and as 14.5 dogs on the road no less. RE: Week 1: Rank the AAC - HuskyU - 09-02-2018 07:59 PM ^ It's not kind. It's the truth. A road win at UCLA is much more impressive than anything anyone else did this week. I hope this means the Big East Bearcats are back. Memphis - beat a really poor opponent. 3. Cincy? - beat a decent opponent. Very surprising. 4. USF - played a pretty tough FCS squad and performed well. 5. Houston? Played a crap team and played poorly for half the game. 6. Tulsa? - much like USF played a good fcs team. Had some positives but we still have things to fix on the o line and special teams. 7. Navy - I guess this all comes down to how good Hawaii truly ends up being. 8. Tulane - offense wasn’t performing too well, mismanaged the game at the end. 9. UConn - still rebuilding 10. SMU - defense got steamrolled by a good offense, but their offense didn’t even do much against a mediocre defense. 11. Temple 12. UCLA could have easily won if Chip Kelly didn't make stupid decisions. RE: Week 1: Rank the AAC - cscottl1981 - 09-02-2018 08:13 PM One thing we don’t know yet is if UCLA is gonna be decent or not. Seems like a good win though (especially relative to where UC football has been recently). |
