On Behalf of Hokie Nation... - Hokie Mark - 09-22-2018 06:52 PM

...I'd like to apologize to fans of all of the 13 other ACC schools - and Notre Dame - for dragging down your strength of schedule. While not quite as bad as losing to James Madison at home, this was a very, very bad loss today at Old Dominion.

I gotta wonder how motivated and hungry Bud Foster is after being passed over YET AGAIN ... and this time by the program he loyally served for so many years. His defense was non-existent today.

As a Louisville fan .... well .... we just ain't got nuthin' to say ... Old Dominion would beat us by 40.

It's not Foster's coaching -- he actually gets more out of these players than he should. It's recruiting -- the Hokies lack star-power, and the things Foster does to make up for lack of talent sometimes blows up in his face (like today). I have to think if he had 4 stud DBs this loss never happens.

Playing in state schools like ODU is a mistake - it's their superbowl and your folks tend to sleepwalk. We have done the same thing for years against ECU.

Blacksburg is so far from the primary recruiting area -- the 757 area code, where ODU is located -- that it makes sense to have a presence there. Besides, if the Hokies play well there's no way ODU wins.

Old Dominion's win over Virginia Tech is the largest upset against an ACC opponent in the last 40 seasons.

James Madison calling, line one.

I think JMU was a 22 point dog. ODU was a 27 to 28 point dog.

I concede you kicked FSU azz.

However I am thrilled that you got what was coming to you. I am surprised your entire defense or offensive line did not lay Down grabbing their calf’s.

Did the coach consider having a heart attack to stop the Ole Dominion offense from running a play.

Again you kicked FSU azz. You may need to look at improving your fake injuries for the next game.

Thoughts and prayers.

It's entirely possible ODU wins the rest of their games. Just saying

I can assure you, not that Clemson needed any help, but anyone in the conference who plays them now it totally ******. Clemson now can't afford to lose a game and make the playoff in my opinion.

That's ignorant.

Did you even watch FSU vs Cuse?

FSU was laying down everywhere. At least our guys were legitimately hurt.

Watch that player on the previous two plays. He injured himself, tried to play through, then needed to sub so he layed down. Just because he wasn't injured at that second doesn't mean he didn't have a legitimate reason to come out of the game.

Stop believing everything you see on Twitter.

Yes, I stand corrected - it's the largest upset by an FBS opponent.

I couldn't help but notice damage control involved throwing a VT D-lineman under the bus...and off the team. Yeah it was a bad loss but these things are happening all over cfb.

Much of its inexplicable too---the Cards suck but My right jow, should they? I don't think so...but here we are. No need to blame the players even if it is on them.

Neither can Duke! See you on 11/17. And maybe again on 12/1.

He wasn't thrown off because of his playing.

He was thrown off in spite of it.

Nobody is blaming the loss on Hill. He was skating on thin ice for a long time.

This loss was definitely baffling. There was no way I thought Virginia Tech could ever lose to Old Dominion, but you did. Virginia Tech is not the first team to have a ridiculous upset against them and I doubt that it will be the last.

I move to call it "Hokie-ing" since it really shouldn't be "Clemsoning" anymore.
