Kansas intrigues me. I'm curious how fast Les Miles turns it around......I really think in 3 to 4 years, Kansas will be a formidable team and will officially walk out of the Rutgers basement. If they really put it together these next few years in football, they can be the full package waiting to be plucked by the SEC or B1G

UNC might be about to fire Larry Fedora, and Mack Brown’s an actual booster rumor

RE: FBS Coaching Carousel - Kittonhead - 11-25-2018 12:05 PM

Its funny to me that BG pulled the plug after 3 seasons on Jinks, eating two year of his contract. This years recruiting class is last in the MAC so there isn't much to expect for a struggling school to pull a 1 million dollar buyout.

CMU pulled their coach after 4 years and 1 bad season. What I am afraid with is they lose even more ground with a new staff who comes in and wins 2 or 3 games a season.

They think they are off their historical norm but that norm is from an 80's mullet MAC before Ohio and WMU put in facilities and Buffalo was even in the conference.

Mike Sanford fired.

RE: FBS Coaching Carousel - sierrajip - 11-25-2018 05:37 PM

I am still questioning any firing of a coach this year unless the school has a replacement already. I do not see a number of coaches that an AD should gamble on, unless the contract is not going to cost the school to much in the future. I am waiting to see what USCw is going to do at this time.

Guess the 40-16 and 30-15 wins weren’t enough to overcome a 1-9 start after Brohm won 23 games in 2 years.

He was about to get fired as a ND assistant before WKU hired him.

Will the Hilltoppers bring back Petrino?

Quote:Western Kentucky didn't need long to find the Hilltoppers' new football coach, and it's an old name around the program.

University of Tennessee offensive coordinator Tyson Helton has reached an agreement to be the next head coach at WKU, according to ESPN.

Helton, 41, served as the Hilltoppers' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2014-15 under Jeff Brohm before joining the staff at Southern Cal. He was the Vols' offensive coordinator this past season as a part of Jeremy Pruitt's first staff in Knoxville.

Wow.

Does he still has the energy to coach, recruit, kiss boosters azz and all the things coaches do? He left North Carolina for Texas in 1998 but 20 years later, is he going to deliver in Chapel Hill?

He should’ve stayed on tv.

I don't think anybody should question his energy to kiss boosters' azzes.

I've heard that the camera adds 10 years. Or was that pounds?
