Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl: Army vs Houston - quo vadis - 12-22-2018 12:56 PM

Two of the better non-P5 teams clash in this interesting bowl. Houston is missing players but should win.

Oliver is a huge loss.

Not really. Oliver has played half-arsed this year, worried about the NFL.

Plus Houston plays Navy so they know the triple option.

Its worse than that. The entire starting D-line is out with injuries-and Oliver has chosen to skip the bowl. The starting CB is sitting out to prepare for the NFL. The other starting CB is injured. The starting safety is gone. Two of the top 3 receivers are out. Not sure if either the starting RB or his backup will be able to play. And the QB that led FBS in touchdowns is out (King). We will start a true freshman at QB making his second start of the year. It should be noted he completed just 42% of his passes in his first outing. Also, we have no DC (got fired)....lol---he was so bad Im not sure if thats a positive or a negative for this game. The truth is, Im not an Applewhite fan, but there is a reason after starting 7-1, we skidded to a 1-3 finish.

I'd love to see UH win this one---but honestly, it will take a miracle for UH to have a shot in this game.

Army should crack the Top 25...if they hold on

For Houston yeah. Memphis was a good game.

Army almost upset Oklahoma.

RE: Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl: Army vs Houston - quo vadis - 12-22-2018 05:54 PM

Army just destroying Houston.

Not a good day for AAC.

It may have been good game, but bad for the AAC losing to the #10 ACC team.

Not really. You want it be so because you are MWC guy and Kittonhead in an Ohio U fan. He hates the MAC also, but exercises that hate toward the AAC and Cincy to a lesser extent. It wasn't an bad day for the PAC 12 when UCLA got a s s raped by 35 points by Cincy, nor their 14 loss to OSU today. Just another day. There isn't any competition for some sort of P6 status. It could be a bad day for the Head Coach at Houston though.

63 - 7 ..... crikey

RE: Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl: Army vs Houston - Attackcoog - 12-22-2018 06:47 PM

70-14.....I pretty much saw this coming. In fact, I was too optimistic. It was hoping to keep it to within 3 TD's.

You made that comment this morning. Houston's defense looked gone the last part of the season.
