Military Bowl: Virginia Tech vs Cincinnati - quo vadis - 12-31-2018 11:25 AM

Good matchup between the second-best AAC team and a pretty good VT team. Some regional rivalry stuff going on here too.

Looks like it will be chilly and rainy at NMC Stadium.

12th meeting between the schools, 4th in a bowl. First bowl meeting was in the 1947 Sun Bowl, won by the Bearcats 18-6.

QB Ridder is out for the time being. Backup Moore can good and bad, you never know.

7-7

A 10 win Cincy should beat VT quite a bit, but so far they are not doing well.

14-7 Cincy, lol. And Cincy is a 5.5 point favorite, so that's NOT "quite a bit."

There isn't a talent difference, the spread was like 5 or 6 points.

Most would still consider VT a tough football school despite the 6-6 record based on their history the past 20 years.

AAC has already lost to Duke and Wake in bowl games so this is a chance for respectability.

Evidently 10-win UC == 6-win VT

knotted at halftime, 14 all.

LOL as if UC loses a defacto home game to VT, with a backup QB, = no chance for respectability. So glad we beat Ohio LOL.

It's a bad look when a 10 win AAC team has to use the cheap ice the kicker ploy to stay tied with a 6 win ACC team.

Hopefully, Cincy will turn it on after halftime.

^^^DITTO^^^. It really gets tiresome, but it seems like some posters literally live to hate the AAC rather than just being sports fans .07-coffee307-coffee3

This would have a smidge of cred if it came from someone other than an AAC fan.

Jeeez03-banghead03-banghead03-banghead! Anyway back to the game. Great defensive play by Cincy, that fumble recovery may be the play of the game.
