It’s not that exciting of a matchup.
I’m expecting OSU to overpower them and be done with it. OSU was just sporty all year but they are one of the most dangerous teams to play on any given day.

Urban going for his 9th major bowl win. That would tie him with Tom Osbourne for 4th all time. Note that the list is dominated by relatively recent coaches as since the 1970s conference restrictions on bowl games have eased and since 1998 the number of major bowls has increased. This is games won on the field, not adjusted for vacates.

UW is a tough team, but they don't have the weapons or line to match OSU. Haskins will pick you apart if you don't pressure him, good pocket passer.

This game is indicative of PAC problems. Washington looks pretty studly against PAC competition but Ohio State is smothering them easily.

Their is a difference up there on the line, it isn't hard to see. California (which everyone recruits in the PAC and MWC) is getting shorter and less athletic population wise. The midwest midatlantic south and Texas is the same and growing with big boys and skill players. UW plays hard and is well coached though.

I remember when the PAC 12 could run downhill and play action when needed against the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl.
The USC, UCLA, Don James Washington teams etc. UW is paying pretty salty though.

Even Ohio State escaped in the end, B1G is the worst P5 conference this year with Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State are all overrated. Thanks God the bottom of B1G won some games in early bowls.

The line was 4.5 before the game. Suspiciously it could be point shaving depending on whether or not UW could have made the 2pts, or whether the line edged up at game time.
Other than that it's just boneheaded play calling. Take your pick.
