Might just be a dumb promotional thing the coach is doing on Twitter. Not necessarily a gameday-helmet. I'm fine if they want to do it outside of the actual game, much as I despise BLM, but putting a political statement on your jersey crosses my line.
Also maybe there's schools that won't do it this year you can jump on their bandwagon.
I'll be right w/ you if Western Michigan does it & I think about their athletics daily lol.
Also, to the above post, I know in Kalamazoo for football our players are in the locker room during the National Anthem, so we'll be safe at least from that, although things are probably gonna change so they can piss on the flag.
I really don't see a season happening tho, so by 2021 season BLM will be an afterthought because it won't be an election year & they won't plaster it all over

It may be a conference by conference decision. However, neither team was on the field for the national anthem at the title game.

I am pretty sure we will see similar “signs of solidarity” in all sports this year. It will be on helmets, jerseys, fields/courts, players kneeling, etc.
Tbh I think most people in this country are tired of hearing about politics. It will be interesting, people are pining for sports but they do not want the politics. Will they tune it all out in large numbers? IDK, but if they do look for leagues/networks to tell the teams to stop.

No. Went to a game a couple years ago. National Anthem, Prayer, kick off. Public school in the south.
No kneelers.
