Eric Hyman, Athletic Director at Texas Christian Univiersity, has announced that TCU will be adding another sport beginning in the 2004-05 season. Men's and women's "Bayou Jumping" teams are being assembled as we speak. Mr. Hyman noted that, "while there are no bayous in the Ft. Worth area for practice, this sport is primarily being added so that The University of Houston can be competitive with TCU in at least one venue."

Bayou Jumping will also be a sanctioned activity at Tulane and USM.

Rice University, also in Houston was considering adding the sport but students there decided they would rather build a solar powered draw-bridge over their campus bayou. It is now operational.

Southern Methodist, in Dallas, has tried to generate enough interest in the Bayou Jumping program so as not to be outdone by other CUSA shools. So far, SMU only has enough students signed up for a Gay Bayou jumping team. CUSA will not sanction a Gay team but will allow SMU to have their team as an intramural activity since they do have such a large Gay contingent on campus. The team is practicing now. Early mornings on the hilltop you can hear echos of "Jump it Girl!"

In West Virginia at Marshall U., plans for a Bayou Jumping team have hit a few snags. A Marshall spokesperson, stated that, "we built a bayou in the middle of campus for practice but some of our less bright students kept falling into it. We fished out about 10,000 of them last week alone."

When asked about the possibility of a Bayou Jumping team at the University of Tulsa, the Athletic Director asked, "what's a bayou?"

I would expect Hyman would be more prone to Conference Jumping.

Get out or get on Board, it makes no difference to me.

How bad is it that your AD's last name sounds like the scientific word for part of a female's anatomy, especially when your school is being accused of being a sissy?

Ya know, it is funny. I used to work with a guy. Weird, creapy guy. You know when you get a weird vibe from somebody and they kind of creep you out? Well, honesty, one day he was arrested for having intercourse with a teenage boy. He is currently listed in the Texas sex offenders database and on their website.

Oh, BTW, he was graduate of TCU.

Not making any of this up.

How a hornytoad would come off making gay comments about SMU is beyond me.

Well obviously if one TCU graduate committed that crime, everyone at TCU must be sick like that.

You see what I'm saying? I'm sure there are a lot of people at SMU that aren't like the guys who were bragging to me about how they got all coked up one night, drove to Fort Worth and vandalized my fraternity house.
