RE: OT: The Walking Dead
I liked the episode, him wandering and reflecting what happened, what he did. I think the family and little girl take him back to the father figure he once was, the family he is missing.

The family seemed very naive about zombies after how long the outbreak has occurred, at least 2 years. I know they had a lot of supplies and food, but you mean to tell me they did not go out at all?

As for meeting back with his 2 guys and their new group, who knows. I like the setup with the ditches, though living in tents for long periods of time is no fun. Also I can see a flaw in those ditches, you get a herd through, and they fall in & fill it up, enough could create a zombie bridge to climb over.

I caught the 2 a.m. airing. Great episode, so good to see one of my favorite actresses as a guest star, Audrey Marie Andersen ("The Unit"), she was great. Hope she becomes a regular for the series stretch run. I saw "The Governor" in an entirely different light in this episode, can't wait to see the "dots" connect with him back to Rick and his charges...Well done, AMC...Now get rid of "Comic Book Men" !!!

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
The governor wandered for months, meets the family, takes off, and runs into his own pit within a day?

Why did he wander off if he was only going to return with some other strays?
What's his plan here?

More Governor. If you watched Talking Dead, you saw David Morrissey (The Governor) talk about how great it was to get back to work on the show. I think he loves his job so much that he probably convinced the directors to keep him alive. Maybe Morrissey should have played Rick instead.

I enjoyed an episode completely away from the prison. Switch it up a bit.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
What the heck is with these people wanting to camp out in the forest in tents and falling apart campers. I seriously don't get it. I'd sleep in a car before I'd sleep in the wide open in a tent like Ricks group did in season 1 & 2 and apparently everyone else on this show. It's dumb. Wouldn't you feel more safe if you found a house or 2 story building and secured the first floor. Nah these jackasses pitch a tent in the middle of the forest. 01-wingedeagle

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
A few thoughts on tonight's episode:

Well, we saw a return of the old governor tonight except now he's more motivated, He'll do whatever he thinks he has to do in order to protect his new family. No surprises there. I would liken him to some of our more recent world villians; like Saddam Hussein, Hitler and others, he's a good manipulator and I like how he terrified yet reasoned with Pete's brother Paul in order to get his support. Villains always need "blunt instruments".

In the preview for next week's episode, we saw the speech where he mentioned that "they'll (the prison's group) will realize that their people are missing"; did he kill Herschel and kidnap Michonne? I think the answer will be "yes". Scott Wilson will be next week's mystery guest on Talking Dead.

"Maggie" is also going to be on Talking Dead next week... if she gets killed off I will be one angry nerd.

Regarding the survivalists cabin and those who were decapitated: there's got to be more to that story, just as there was with the helicopter in episode 2.

Finally, I predict that The Governor will die at the hands of either Carol 9who returns to save the day) or most likely, his new love interest.

In the comic version Maggie is still alive. They won't kill off the character.

I don't get these small camps in the woods, how can they survive? The prison has masses of walkers trying to break in, there are herds all over, but yet these pockets of camps can survive?

They talk about mid season finale, are they going to break for the holidays? Start up in Jan or something?

All AMC shows have the broken up season. Walking Dead did it for 2 years in a row and Breaking Bad did on the last season

It's just dumb as hell when you think about it and not really believable that these idiots could have survived when the rest of the world didn't as careless as they are. I mean wouldn't you want to stay in a solid building like a hospital or school for instance and secure it, perhaps even get up on a higher floor. Even the house that family was in was safer than pitching a tent and throwing two strands of barb wire up. Forget the comfort level of an actual house. I mean shii lets just get drunk while we are at it, play golf balls, and grab ass out in the open, maybe even let a 6 year old play and run free. Yet these idiots are still around. Sure.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
I have enjoyed the last two Governor episodes. I hope he finally goes down this next episode so they can move on.

There are inhospitable living conditions and natural disasters that happen every year around the world (Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Typhoons, Desert or Freezing climates) and people return to the same place or don't try to move to a more hospitable place, even when they know they could die at almost any time from these events or conditions.

I don't see it any different when it comes to Zombies. Many people find a comfort level or area and they stick with it. Many don't think that it will be that bad. Or that it can be managed.

In the first season, they showed how there was a large group living in tents and RVs. That got overrun . I agree that it would be better to find a large easily defensible area like a hospital, prison or school and secure it. But most people will escape to a calm place and set up shop . Deep in the woods, it seems like you would definitely see less zombies. It would be easier to set up camp in an area where you may only see a few within a certain time frame.

If the ZA ever does happen. I'm moving back to Eastern/Coastal North Carolina. Less of population to deal with, fresh waters from rivers meet up with the Ocean and lots of islands to fortify and farmland to grow crops.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
If I had to guess, I think the Gov will go ape **** with his tank, lots of death on both sides and the prison will probably be destroyed beyond repair. The Gov will die and the Rick group will FINALLY move on.

Now I doubt that will all happen in this final episode, because they like to make it a cliff hanger.

They don't pitch tents though in the middle of another natural disaster, or especially not if another Tornado, Typhoon, Hurricane etc is coming back at them. They look for suitable shelter like a hospital or school. It's just dumb these idiots are camping out in the woods. A house is better than that crap. Even a car is safer than a friggen tent.

If there was a ZA what dumb*** is going to sleep it off in a tent. Seriously, and we are to believe these are the survivors. If you want to pitch a tent if nothing else pitch your shopping mall or something. Instead they want to waste their time digging pitts or stringing 2 strands of barbwire and guarding their make shift fences.

Wrong. The Walking Dead for seasons 2 and onward, Comic Book Men from season 2 and onward, Breaking Bad this last cycle, and Mad Men for their upcoming cycle. Otherwise no breaks.

Just a guess, but I don't think the directors want to lose a chunk of the their viewership. I'm talking about the pervert segment.

If you have any spoilers please share them. As of now, nothing trending on Maggie's death.
