RE: OT: The Walking Dead
I hate when they dedicate an entire episode to one group. Every time the group splits up, I know I'm not really going to enjoy the episodes to come.

If it was only 2 groups then it wouldn't be as bad. When there are more than 2 groups it seems like forever since we last heard from Rick and company. Hopefully the hospital group can reunite with Rick and then it will only be two groups trying to meet up.

But look at the depth we get when they split up. TWD has a large cast and it's hard to give everyone a story if they are together.

Who do you all think that was Darryl brought out in tossed on the fire? It looked too short to be Noah and Carol was with him when he tossed the body on the fire.

Speaking of child walkers, why don't you think we see more in the show specifically in the larger herds? It would seem that there would be a ton of them in a zombie apocalypse considering no parent would kill their child if they were bitten. Perhaps it would be too unsettling for people?

Probably because kids don't just get bitten and get away, they get eaten.

I do think that even for this show, there are sensitives to showing children being mutiliated. In this week's episode, when they showed Abraham's family after they left him, you saw the wife all eaten and destroyed by the walkers, but the kids were just lying face down and somewhat blurred in the background.

The two child walkers we've seen in the series, Sophia and the girl in the pilot/very first scene, were tamely presented compared to most adult walkers.

It was nice to see the Carol story. She and Darryl are really close. Funny how atlanta didn't have as many walkers as they did at the start. I guess the herd has thinned out.

I think a lot of parents killed their children before they were bitten. Lot of despair and not wanting to see a child deal with that would lead to mercy killings before it was too late.

Why do you guys think Gabriel left the church? I noticed the nail went through his shoe and he was bleeding. I think when he returns he may bring a few walkers after him. He is one character I do not care much about. It was pretty obvous Bob 2 was going to get Sasha when she let her guard down.

I was finally able to get my wife to sit down and watch the first episode. She liked it. It was crazy seeing Rick all clean cut and enjoying it all over again

I think there has to be some sort of biblical symbolism with the nail through the foot and him being a man of the cloth. I'm thinking he's gonna do something to sacrifice himself to save the group or do something for the greater good as a redemption for leaving his church goers outside to be zombie snacks.

It was a child and mother I think. They stayed at a home for abused families.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
Quite an episode on end of life regrets, as embodied by the "dead" who joined Tyreese at the end.

"You shouldn't have done it"
"It all turned out like it should have anyway...nothing you could do."
"It really is better" Justification for killing the innocents
"You didn't live up to your promises"

It was among the most remarkable and memorable of the series to date. Strangest thing, I can actually watch this series and not completely lose my grip, but a movie about zombies, like "Dawn Of The Dead" or "People Shouldn't Play With Deadly Things", etc., I can't sit still and view them.
