The gov comes off like he was just an everyday guy before the outbreak. He got himself into a leadership roll, high off the power trip now. As any good dictator through time, you have to watch out for people that want your power. Any of those military guys would of saw what he was doing and would have been better suited for the leadership roll of that town, he was smart to take them out.

The Govenor reminds me of the main badguy in The Postman. Average guy who @ the end of the world gains some power & goes on a power trip.

I agree that breaking off the attack when he had the opponent on his heels was stupid, but history is repleat with these kinds of decisions by gererals. McClellan at Antietam comes to mind. That guy was as timid as a mouse. He NEVER pressed an advantage for fear of falling into a trap.

Meh, he's not a very good gov'ner if he can't brainwash a few corprals and intergrate them in their camp. Just doesn't make much sense if he's going to go around and shoot up everything with in 20 miles but protect a bunch of useless weaklings if he's trying to build something. Don't really see the benifet or reason for either.

Maybe he keeps them around because they ARE weak. That's how you keep a herd. Throughout history, dictators/monarchs/nobility have killed off strong individuals that could've possibly challenged their rule. If you want to be a dictator you have to minimize outliers as much as you possibly can and maximize those who really rely on you.

Either:

1) Carol dies. Daryl goes bonkers. Merle has to calm him down. In the process you begin to have mixed feelings for Merle.

OR

2) Glenn dies. Maggie is very torn up after being a b!tch to Glenn and becomes suicidal. Her sister talks her down.

Either way, Rick goes on a killing spree.

Ricks going to wreck shop. Merle starts to maybe make ppl think he's turned a new leaf but in the end does something that puts Daryl in a situation where he has to choose, and chooses the group. Maybe killing Merle? Shrug.

I'm just tired of this Jail and Governor thing and want the show to move on. Bring on World War Z.

The prison and the Governor really just started.

The WWZ movie may be good but if you read the book, most likely you'll be disappointed.

I'm reading the book now. But history shows that screen adaptations rarely equal that of the written story.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead
The book is REALLY good; the only book in the zombie-genre that I would say equals it would be the Day By Day Armageddon Series by JL Bourne. I would suggest that you read those as well.

The movie differs greatly from the book from what I understand in that the book serves mainly to describe events that have already happened from a historical perspective, if that makes any sense. The movie will leave a bunch of stuff out and takes place in "real time" (forgive me if I'm using the term incorrectly... I'm a bit out-of-it right now).

Tonight's episode of TWD was good, again. Kudos to the actors and writers...

What is going on with Andrea? I have a feeling that she will wind up saving the day but how many people will die as a result?

No one can blame Tyreese and Co. if they do indeed wind up helping the Governor. Rick's mental instability may have cost him the prison... even though I think that that Tyreese's crew will wind up siding with him in the long run.
