RE: 2018 Football Schedule
I would be satisfied with 4 wins this year. That means we need a win in week one.

I probably missed this but have single game tickets gone on sale? The website says they are selling them but it takes you to Ticketreturn.com. I can't find the ODu Sept 1 game.

I had the same question. Maybe they are seeing how many season ticket packages they can sell before individual games go on sale. What if the whole stadium was sold out for season tickets!?!

25,000 season tickets sold! I don't think so. But a large bump can be expected. How many did LU sell last year? I know there were announcements the Flames Club was it's largest last year. I believe that number was 2,000. If true, then double season for season tickets would be great, three times would be phenomenal. 25k just seems beyond any reasonable expectation. I'm guessing 4-6k in season tickets sales and the admins would feel great.

A projected ranking for the upcoming season has us at 115 in the nation. I think that is fair but I also think we should out perform that. By the way, we are one below ODU and above Coastal Carolina.

It would be fantastic for LU to finish above ODU and CCU this season. It would give us bragging rights in Virginia, and would give us bragging rights over an old rival who considers their program better than ours. I really look forward to playing both of these teams in the future.

Glad to hear they plan to open a concession area with the food trucks in mind. It sounds like they may have a booth that they rent out to other companies.

Notre Dame sounds like there is no interest on their end lol. I imagine the Big 10 will be a common P5 conference we play. Their teams do not play fcs teams. So I imagine, with the close proximity to most of their programs, that we will have a lot more of those games in the future.

If we win six games I’ll be doing back flips!..... in my head at least. That would be an incredible start to our FBS future.

That would be incredible for the program. Still think Gill will be in the hot seat though. Some think that it can’t be possible, but he was lucky to even be the coach for this up and coming season.

I think this year would be a good year because the contract is almost up. I do think he will get another year.

RE: 2018 Football Schedule
If he wins six games with a first year FBS program he deserves another year or two.

If he gets six I think we would sign him to 3 year extension. I think we will get 4 wins and it will buy him another year.

I agree with the 4 wins. Has the quality of players returning, and new recruits who will play, moved the bar up enough to equal 6 wins? That's a tough one to believe it's going to happen. The quality of play is stepping up likely higher than the developing players and skill set of the new arrivees, which means better competition. No more Presby or GW, who LU beat often, and Kennesaw and ChuckSouth gave LU all they could handle.

Now it's a new year surrounded by all the FBS impulse, stadium expansion and schedule upgrade. And then it's time to play between the lines. And considering all those factors, 4 wins would be a favorable season. 3 wins less than favorable. 5 wins a very good season. 6 wins and Gill rides high. 7 wins, well that is a very high bar and if Gill achieved that, that would create a lot of momentum for his return. Possible but more than likely not.
