According to 24/7, which I tend to like better, FAU has a 5 signed (four 3*, one 2*) and 7 commits (four 3*, one 2*, two not rated).
That's not to say FAU isn't doing a good job recruiting, because I think you guys are.

You always seem to get a hardon or maybe a stick up your ass for any team in CUSA that wins. The defending CUSA champs that ran over just about every CUSA team they played and returns a major portion of that team is going to get the ink.
I know it bothers you that S. Miss just can't seem to get back to competing for a CUSA championship. Hell it's hard enough to compete in the West. But worry about that instead of trying to put down the team that actually wins.

No, it's because 247 has a quirky rating system (3* and 3 dots? 3* and 1 dot? 4* and no dots?) and the two of them have a different number of guys. I am not sure which one is the most authoritative. I have always preferred ESPN.

The number of dots shows you how many recruiting agencies have been used in the composite scoring. Three dots means 247, Rivals, and ESPN have all been accounted for. One dot means only one has (mostly likely 247's own rating). From my experience, 247 has been more consistently reliable. Plus, the composite scores account for potential outlier ratings from one agency.

Well, Denzel is from TX, so he and Matthew may come to Marshall as a package deal.

I agree, Fish. I prefer 247Sports' composite as well. For example, depending on which site you look at, Charles Cameron is either a 4* on ESPN, 3* on 247Sports, or 2* on Rivals. That's why I like to go by 247Sports' composite of all 3 sites, which is a 3*.

FIU just got an interesting commitment from a grad transfer QB from Bowling Green, James Morgan. Morgan was rated a 4-star prospect out of high school by ESPN and 247 Sports, but was replaced as the starter last year. FIU desperately needed a new QB after McGough graduated, so maybe Morgan is the guy with his playing experience. He will have two years of eligibility.

Congrats Panthers! Hopefully Morgan is just what y'all needed with the departure of McGough. The Shula Bowl will for sure be a bloodbath next season.

Thanks! FIU just picked up another commitment: 3-star DE Jason Mercier, who had a ton of offers and took official visits to Maryland, Rutgers, and Toledo, in addition to FIU.
I think FIU and FAU will end up with the top 2 classes come February's signing day. Looking forward to some Shula Bowl revenge

Tech is putting together a very solid recruiting class. If we can reel in a few more that we're trying to get, this might be one of the best classes ever for the Dawgs!

Rice is up to 6 new commits under coach Bloomgren - three from Texas and three from other states. We also seem to be in the mix for some significant graduate transfers including two quarterbacks (Quinten Dormady of Tennessee and Keller Chryst of Stanford).

The Rivals site is a joke since Mixon left. If you want the best info on USM recruiting, the Scout site with Glen Dyer, formerly Iron Eagle on Rivals, is by far the best site for USM fans. Why people stay on the Rivals site is beyond me.
