We should be pissed at MTSU for losing to USM! Doesn't matter who they beat or didn't beat OOC, they went into the CUSA tournament and was winless, getting knocked out by USM. A team that went 16-18 for the season.
Yes but why should MTSU be punished for one game? 1 game dictates what kind of season you have? "P5" teams play their way into NCAA by winning a few games in conf. tournament, doesn't really even matter record, however anyone not in these conf. play their way out.....Any excuse comm. can give they will....Jay Bilas is right about conference tournaments, regular season champs should already be in, conf. tournaments should be used for another separate bid, that would solve the problem of teams who do well regular season and slip up one game in conf. tournament...

RE: OBVIOUS solution to CUSA's dancing woes: we have to schedule AND BEAT better teams
Syracuse lost to Georgia Tech and Wake Forest
Oklahoma lost to Iowa State
Seton Hall lost to Rutgers and Georgetown
Alabama lost to Vanderbilt and Ole Miss
There are going to be games where either you play like garbage or an inferior opponent plays out of their minds. If you are going to afford that pass, it needs to be afforded across the board. The committee is supposed to be looking at the season as a whole. The loss to USM, where they played out of their minds in a game in front of about 200 people in a fake arena, is nothing but a convenient excuse. If they won that game, they still would have been left out. If they won that game, beat Marshall, and lost to WKU in the championship game, they still would have been left out. There were at least 12 teams ahead of them on Selection Sunday.

RE: OBVIOUS solution to CUSA's dancing woes: we have to schedule AND BEAT better teams
I don't think MT fans are angry for not getting in. We are angry about the teams that got in over us.
St. Mary's and USC have tremendous gripes as well.
The Selection chair, when defending Oklahoma, said that they don't look at what point in the season a team has a bad loss. He said that November games are treated the same as March. He also said that the FBI probe at Louisville had nothing to do with them not getting in.
Bullshiite.

Okay, non-at-large teams.
