I like 80's and 90's hoops the most but that starting 5 of the 00's, in this picture, would've been unstoppable.

80s/90s would have had slightly better defense. I don't think the 00s could have worked through their egos as a starting 5.
Although, based on accomplishments, during their eras none of these starting 5s would be too shabby.

3 of the 5 guys in that 90s lineup have no rings.
70s team would be a lot better with Havlicek or Barry instead of Maravich, and if that substitution is made, I might take the 70s starting 5.

Counters with Jordan having 2 3peats and Olajuwon having back to back titles. Stockton, Malone, and Barkley all went to the finals once. Bulls dominated the East. The back 2 back Rockets were dominant in the West. Outside of that, the West had a different great team nearly every year of the 90s. Lakers, Trailblazers, Suns, Sonics....
In the 80s the Pistons, Celtics, and Lakers were taking the title nearly every year. I believe the 76rs got one.

Right, from 1980-1988, the 76ers got one title, Celtics had three, Lakers had five.
Can't ever argue with Jordan and Hakeem, but Malone and Barkley were not even close to their level. I'd take David Robinson and Scottie Pippen instead of those two.

RE: WHICH GENERATION WINS (talk among yourselves)
the 70's and 80's were the most fun in hindsight, while the sixties produced giants. but those aughts darling, those aughts. surprisingly

RE: WHICH GENERATION WINS (talk among yourselves)
The 1970s were fun because of the ABA.
I could pick a team of 12 players who played in the ABA, and they would beat any team of 12 NBA players from that era who didn't play in the ABA.
