OT - When you do pulled pork or brisket on your grill or smoker...
...what brand of charcoal do you prefer? I have original Kingston at home now, but noticed that it burns up quicker than it used to in previous years. I've never done any cooking beyond 4 hours on the grill, and I know pulled pork will be longer than that. Anyone have better alternatives to Kingston? Anyone get better results with Stubbs, Royal Oak or the Weber briquettes? Or would lump charcoal be preferable for long cooks?
Would love to hear opinions.
