NBA is a little different bc their CBA limits how much the players get to a percentage of total revenue. These teams will spend every cent/shilling/euro to just get the player without the player necessarily benefiting from their price tag in their salary beyond a few more thousand a week.

Van Djik to Man City for £60M...I mean...the dude hasn't played since January and was above average, but dear lord.

ITs outrageous. Not bc everybody is overpriced now but because this is overpriced for even this overvalued era.
