Pulisic captained, and Italy dominated for 90 minutes. We stayed in the game pretty much directly because of Ethan Horvath, who made a bunch of great saves. Pulisic and Adams both played well in midfield. If we had a B team, the team we started was probably our C team outside of Pulisic and Adams.

At some point, we might name a coach. No one knows when that will be. New coach will take charge for the annual January MLS Camp, which will conclude with a match against Costa Rica in early February. Otherwise, we'll have two march friendlies left, and then everything begins for real again with the Gold Cup this coming summer, the Nations League next fall, and then World Cup Qualifying.

Sucks to watch the entire match just to see us lose in the last second. Oh well, at least whoever the next coach is will have plenty of film to watch various new players. Hopefully he can pick the best and develop some sort of team style before the Gold Cup.

Amen. Sarachan deserves some credit just for limping us through this fiasco and giving the new coach a chance to evaluate a lot of people in various positions. Hopefully the next coach can use this to get a jump start on the team.

Agreed, once the next coach is identified his first job will be to review game tape and begin identifying his starters. It's been great to see so many of the young guys play, but now it's time to start weeding down the field and building a team with the best of them.
