Also, with De Jong, De Ligt, De Wit, Van De Beek, and Schuurs from Ajax, along with Malen, Stengs, Chong, Klievert, Bergwijn, and Tete all under 22 year old...if the Netherlands can't win a World Cup in the next three cycles, they never will.

No it wont....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

He's already been asked about this and said flat out if Ajax and Barca play he's all in for Ajax. It shouldn't be any other way. Barca know what they have in Frenkie De Jong and that is he is Pique's eventual replacement. I think both teams, given their history, would prefer to play each other in the final versus any of the other two teams.

BTW, it's not just De Jong but also Matthijis de Ligt who is also heavily rumored to be heading to Spain.

BTW, I read if Ajax make the final they will have earned more money from this one tournament than their entire current operating budget for this year. Amazing. Ajax will make a killing from the tournament and player sales this year and has always been able to promote from within to remain competitive.

It truly is incredible how Ajax remains competitive despite their domestic situation every year, goes to show how elite they are in player development. That's why I'm so thrilled that a few Americans (namely Pynadath and Dest) have made their way into the Ajax Academy.

Also, De Jong plays almost exclusively at midfield for Ajax, so I just presumed he was the eventual Busquets replacement...where is it said that he'd be taking over at CB?
