Playing Trapp at all after the way he played against Jamaica is grounds for serious questioning of his talent evaluation.

Unfortunately, there isnt a lot of depth in the player pool at that position. Trapp sucks but with Adams playing in a fullback role in Berhalter's system you are stuck with Trapp being your 2nd choice guy behind McKinnie.

And is that a wise coaching decision? Put a great young talent in a position where he can't make much of a difference (the same position he has been playing for a top team in one of Europe's top 4 leagues) and replace him with a guy who seemingly thinks part of his role is to give away balls in the defensive third? Also, Berhalter has been on record saying he thinks McKennie is an attacking midfielder, which...yeah...says a lot.

I wasnt making a judgement on the placement of Adams by Berhalter just saying that is where he is gonna play in his system. In Berhalter's system that Adams fullback position is given freedom to roam so much of the time Adams will end up in the midfield anyway. Personally, I would like Adams creating havoc in the middle and having impact over more of the field from the start....especially against better teams that control possession and will keep our fullbacks in the defensive third.

McKinnie is versatile and could play at AM in a pinch(REAAAALLY big pinch) but I doubt that is where we see him 3 years from now.

Couldn't agree more with everything that you're saying. My point was to further support my worry about Berhalter's ability to identify talent appropriately.
