And considering the USA expected to score goals in bunches to begin with, because everyone knew Thailand was truly THAT overmatched, it makes the glee with which they celebrated each goal a little more distasteful, regardless of how the team may justify it. You can enjoy doing something and still be professional about it, and act like you've been there before. This wasn't Brazil they beat 13-0. It was a team completely out of their league who were playing their first ever World Cup game.

Also agree with Lalas who said that if the USA had a target on their back coming into the tournament, it has now grown that much larger with their antics against Thailand.

I agree. I'm not for calling off the dogs, especially when goal differential is the potential tiebreaker, but your celebration after goal 5 should be muted at best. Run back to your side of the field give a few high fives along the way.

The celebrations might have been a bit much but no team should ever sit back in a World Cup game. This is the pinnacle of the sport and we should want the best teams to play their best at all times. Anything less is a slap in the face to the opposing team.
