RE: OT: Best show nobody is watching, pimp away
Just finished The Politician on Netflix. Like all streaming shows (and maybe shows in general), it's probably a bit too melodramatic at times with ways to try to figure out to how to end each episode with a blockbuster or cliffhanger. But the most interesting part of this show is that the 8th and final episode is really the 1st episode to season 2 (the 1st 7 episodes wrap up season 1), and that season seems really, really good.

I think Netflix in general has been pretty meh the last few years. But I'd put this show - along with The Umbrella Academy and maybe Love, Death & Robots - as the best 3 things it's done lately. This show is by Ryan Murphy (of Glee and American Horror Story fame), and I'd describe it as the movie Election (with Reese Witherspoon) meets Glee, with a touch of Hulu's The Act thrown in for good measure. Not as much music as Glee either.
