RE: Is there ANY TV for CAA Basketball this year?

MyTV is the #5 station in a 5-station market, and that was the audience they were getting in prime time. CofC was paying for the time.
The SoCon has 17 games broadcast by Nexstar stations (the old Media General), including 6 SoCon tourney games, but they are only on OTA in Charleston, Upstate SC, and a couple of other markets.
The CAA should look at an OTA package after Raycom finishes up their ACC OTA games after this year. The problem is, what markets would carry these games? Charleston, Wilmington, Harrisonburg, Greensboro, Hampton Roads, Baltimore, Philly, NY, Boston are in our league.
Only the first 3 would really have actual interest...
I can only speak for Philadelphia, but since Drexel is such a small fish in a very crowded major sports and major TV market, there is no way that Drexel basketball would be carried on a major over the air market. Their only chance would be on an over the air digital subchannel, that very few people watch in the first place. Drexel's women's game on the Delaware TV package will be carried live by COZI-TV (10-2) on Sunday.
It would still make the most sense for the CAA to get back on the NBC Sports Regional networks. In Philadelphia, unless the Flyers or Sixers are playing, it's mostly dead air programming on NBCSP and NBCSP+. There's a lot of air time openings for CAA games.
