Xavier probably isn't as good as their ranking, but their wins and the fact that they've managed to pull out every one of their close games late has made their ranking completely reasonable. Xavier is 8-0 in games decided by 7 points or less. That is an insane stat. It's why their kenpom luck number is so high. They've literally won every close game they've had.
Having a guy like Blueitt makes it more reasonable for them to be winning close games. Teams with players like that are always more likely to win those games, though it's still unlikely that they have the perfect record that they do.
