How do you figure Elmore has better stats? I think what you mean to say is that he scored more points but even that was close.

Elmore shot 44% from the field. King 49%

Elmore shot 33% from three. King 38%

The two stat areas where they diverge is because of the position they play. As a guard, Elmore had a lot more assist whereas King had more rebounds.

And then by just about every saber metric type analysis King has the better numbers. Lastly, he has the trump card of having led the team to a national ranking and the regular season title. It's difficult to see this even being close.

We will find out soon enough but again - if it's not unanimous - I will be surprised if Elmore gets more than a handful of first place votes.

The voters dont care about advanced numbers. See no Porter and Johnson being on list. Defense and efficiency get lost in translation. Pace isnt considered.
