Since the tournament field expanded in 1985, no team has gone 2-8 or worse in its final 10 games before the NCAA Tournament and gotten an at-large bid. H/T @EliasSports

So maybe they don't.


True but until like 5 years ago your performance in your last ten games was a factor.

Now unless someone was injured the timing of the game is not taken into consideration. They may break that historical norm.
