RE: Lots of smoke starting to show in Memphis
I feel really bad for the once mighty Memphis program. The smell of desperation is overwhelming. Like opioid addicts still living with the ghost of John Calipari.

Did I read this right? Memphis hired a parent of the Lawsons in order to secure their committment for 120k per? That might be the dirtiest thing I have ever read in my life. And this was legal? The father could have just passed part of the salary to his kids... WTF?? I need to rethink the respect I've had for Memphis all these years. Sumfin seriously fishy goin' on in Graceland.

Serious question: Has any major college bball program ever hired a coach straight out of high school with zero D1 experience and been successful?
