A lot of us have suggested you shouldn't.

Sure. I just don't get the original comment which clearly suggest people are trying to say that Dems do not support governmental oversight and "nanny-ism." I'd argue about the last phrase, but certainly not the overall sentiment that Dems support more government intervention.
