Will Phil Bennett get fired?
If so, who replaces him?

Why would Bennett get fired right? I don't even understand the point in asking this question right now.

A big big no to your question though.

Although it is important for Phil and the team to have more than a winning record, he is not necessarily at risk unless we have a record worse than last year. I can't imagine Steve Orisini, our new AD, recommiting to a coach with a losing record and little prospects.

However, I believe Phil and the Mustangs will have a breakout season with a bowl a real possibility. We are no longer the youngest team in the country and we have experience and speed for a change with expectations are for a very competitive season.

The key will be our non-conference games. Recently, we have struggled in September. Now, it must be a winning record, perhaps with a single loss. I say we give Texas Tech a real game, which shouldn't be a surprise!

If we have more than one loss in September this season...something REALLY went wrong..that or we aren't near as good of a team as we should be.

Jim Harbaugh? The coach of the 1-AA University of San Diego. What has he done as a head coach? Has he won the 1-AA National Championship? Who has he recuited from Texas? Which high school in Texas did he attend? Which college in Texas did he attend? We've gone the 1-AA honcho route before - remember Mike Cavan? I think Bennett is moving the program slowly in the right direction. This is a watershed year for the team.
