Looks like this is gonna be a shootout. State strikes in the first 1:08, then KU comes right back to tie it.

Bittersweet victory. It doesn't seem right for Philip to go out in a pre-New Years bowl. A FG made here, a PAT made there, and reverse one of the many mistakes in the Maryland game (dropped passes, fumbles, missed kick -- take your pick) -- and this season would've been so much different.

Still, if you gotta go out early, go out like Rivers did tonight. Wow... 37-45, 475 yards, 5 TDs, no INTs, and another bowl MVP trophy. Wish it could've been in the Orange, man ... wish I could've kicked a FG for you or something.

In a way I feel for Kansas because they were way overmatched (we've been there before).

Have to admit I got a big ol' lump in my throat when Rivers left the field.

Yes, Kansas was way overmatched...talk about being hit with a buzzsaw! My prediction of the Pack by 15 was half right... 03-wink

I thought it was awesome the way Philip & Jerricho Cotchery left the field arm in arm...those 2 guys really had the kind of chemistry that most coaches only dream of having between a QB and a star WR.

Congrats to the Wolfpack on a big win and beginning what will hopefully be the first of several ACC bowl victories!

I got choked up too, seeing those guys leave the field for the last time :frown:

What can I say, but thank you for the memories, and enjoy your long careers in the NFL!
