...it was said that the Big 12 and the SECheaters don't oppose a championship game for conferences smaller than 12 teams. The term "antiquated" was also used.
So, I might just have been right in the thread below! :wave:

Opposed or not two points to resolve!
11 teams with 2 divisions? sombody gets to win a division with less conference games.
The NCAA approval? Why would they made a exception without the nod from the non BCS NCAA members including newest "big East" (mid majors) conference members?

Well with 11 teams they will be in the same situation the MAC was with 13 teams until UCF joined last season.
They should have a 7 game conference schedule, or 8 depending on how many conference games they decide to have. The division with 5 teams would play 2 (3) non-divisional opponents while the other would play 1 (2) non-divisional opponents. All conference games should count, so every team would be playing the same amount of conference games and therefore be judged the same.

Yeah, and that's how we ended up with a divisional champion who was 7-5, but lost to the "right" teams.
