Another Thursday night ACC matchup this week on ESPN: the Fridge returns to GT. Should be an exciting barnburner of a game with definite implications come bowl selection time.

A Tech win puts the Jackets at 3-2 in the conference and 5-3 overall and drops MD to 2-2 conference and 5-3 overall.

A MD win solidifies the Terps' 2nd place slot with a 3-1 ACC record and 6-2 overall and drops Tech's conference record below .500 and to 4-4 overall.

This weekend's matchups should break up that logjam in the middle of the ACC. The winner of UVA/NC State remains in 2nd place. A MD loss drops them out of second. The winner of Wake/Clemson will be sitting pretty in the bowl picture.

Then there's always the chance that Notre Dame could pull itself out of mediocrity for one week to give FSU a huge upset... 03-wink

Quote:11/8 (Sat): WF @ UNC - 12:00 pm ET - JP

For shame. 05-nono That will be three straight weeks of Carolina on JP Sports, which means Tech/Duke won't be on TV Nov. 8th. This also means Tech/UNC won't be on TV Nov. 15th (that would be 4 straight weeks with UNC playing on JP) unless ABC happens to pick up the game.

From http://www.jpsports.com:

Quote:November 15 Duke at Clemson, or
North Carolina at Georgia Tech

November 22 Georgia Tech at Virginia, or
Maryland at N.C. State, or
Duke at North Carolina

There's still hope for a couple more Tech TV games. Personally I think the Tech/Carolina game is a much better matchup than dook/Clemson on 11/15. Now 11/22 would be a hard decision. I think both the Tech/UVA game & MD/State will be televised...we're talking pecking order for bowls here. JP will get one, ABC the other.

I'm entitled to my opinion. Yes, I feel that Notre Dame is "moderate to inferior in quality", just like I feel you are "moderate to inferior in intelligence". And just like you (and assorted blind squirrels) occasionally find a nut and post information worth reading, so might Notre Dame pull a win out of somewhere. You never know...

The FSU/Clemson game is on ESPN not ESPN2 according to the Tampa Tribune and Warchant.com.

I'm more inclined to believe the <a href='http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?page=2003-04_espn_tvsched' target='_blank'>ESPN website</a> which says:

Nov. 8 Sat. Florida State @ Clemson Memorial Stadium Clemson, S.C. 7:45 ESPN2

And once again, I give you the TV listings from the ESPN website for ESPN2 for Saturday, Nov. 8th:

<a href='http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tvlistings/schedule?date=20031108&network=02' target='_blank'>http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tvlisting...1108&network=02</a>

Scroll down to 7:45 pm...OMIGOD, it's the FSU game, just like Lucy said.

I can't wait to hear how MsNole enjoys the
<a href='http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tvlistings/schedule?date=20031108&network=01' target='_blank'>Virginia Tech/Pittsburgh game</a> that she'll be watching tomorrow on ESPN... :roflol:

Lucy, don't want to bust your bubble, but I just went the ESPN website and it showed that FSU/Clemson will be on ESPN at 7:45 ET.
I know what the above link shows, but on the ESPN website there is a Saturday football schedule that scrolls at the top left side of the screen and it definately shows FSU/Clemson on ESPN, not ESPN2 04-drinky

So in two places ESPN's website shows one set of games, and in another place it shows a different set of games. Sounds like ESPN is hedging their bets until they decide where they want to air the games themselves. You're not right & neither am I...it'll all come down to what switch ESPN turns on at 7:45 tomorrow night.

Lucy, my most humble apologies. I should have done further research prior to making that post. Sorry!!!

After posting the above, I went to do some further research and found this website that shows FSU/Clemson on ESPN2.

<a href='http://www.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/tvschedule/' target='_blank'>http://www.collegesports.com/sports/m-foot...tbl/tvschedule/</a>

So, what's a person to do, just consult your local TV listing I suppose.

:snore:

And again, after going to our own website http://www.seminoles.ocsn.com, I found that we even say the game is on ESPN2. So Lucy it is beginning to look like you were right all along!

Now who is the one with egg on their face, well I guess that would be me! 03-razz

I sent an email to the ESPN TV schedule "help desk" asking them to confirm which channel will be carrying the game. If I get a response prior to game time, I'll post it here. :) I told them it would certainly help any interested fans who wished to tape the game 03-wink

Give credit to theacc.com - at least they admitted they had no clue what channel it would be

It's a make-it or break-it weekend for college football with a bunch of bowl berths up for grabs. 4 games featuring 5 ACC teams will make for an exciting day of beer & leftover turkey!
