To get folks excited for football season, I decided to start a thread of Kenan Stadium photos over on the UNC board. I thought y'all might enjoy the same with Carter-Finley....

Resurrecting an old topic here, but is there anyway NC State could get to 80,000 seating capacity in like 5-10 years minimum? An 80,000 Carter-Finley Stadium would tie South Carolina's W-B Stadium for about 7th place in the SEC. I believe the Wolfpack would start having a more SEC-type fanbase which would be very good for NC State, and it would be an huge improvement over what the Wolfpack have now. Out of all the current ACC schools (excluding VT & Mia), I think NCSU has the best chance to join Clemson and FSU in having an SEC-type stadium and fanbase. IMO, NC State has always been the football school in North Carolina while UNC has just about always been the basketball school. This would cement NC State's reputation as the premier football school in NC. I know that sounds a like a lot, and I know a lot of you are thinking: "How are we supposed to fill a stadium that big? Place cows in the stands??," but I think NC State has that type of potential. Good luck to the Pack this year. Sorry I haven't visited in awhile.
