Nebraska hit a three run homer in the top of the 9th to take a 7-5 lead. ASU scored and then Jeff Larish hit his 3rd HOMERUN of the game, solo shot with two out in the bottom of 9 to tie the game at 7. ASU scored in the bottom of the 11th on a single to RF to clinch the game!

Unbelievable game! Both teams played great baseball. I love how ASU got that run home in the 11th. Guy gets on base, bunt him over to 2nd, and then let your guys swing away for a base hit. Good baseball. Congrats!

Take that you Cornhusker swines!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Tulane and Baylor tried to top it. Baylor came back from 7-0 down in the 7th to win it by scoring the final 2 runs on a botched double play ball in the 9th.

BTW, I LOVE Arizona State's classic looking uniforms. Everybody's in high socks and they have a dirty (not pressed white), kinda baggy, old-time look to them.

Devils played a much cleaner game today and dominated Florida from the beginning winning 6-1 to force an elimination game tommorrow. Erik Averill , who pitched 5 2/3 inn vs Tenn on Sunday pitched a complete game today and displayed great poise on the mound and command of the strike zone and the game tempo, he really shut down the UF hitters. Tommorrows game should be great.

Congrats to the Devils...they're a scappy team if I ever seen one. Beating Nebraska on their home turf was quite impressive as was your victory over Florida today.

If you guys get past Florida tomorrow, there will be a revival of what was once colllege baseball's greatest rivalry in the CWS. Good luck to y'all!!

Florida eliminated ASU today 6-3 :( to advance vs Texas in the best of three starting Saturday.
ASU led 3-0 when the Florida starting pitcher pulled a hammy on a pitch, Boss came in for UF and shut out ASU the rest of the way. Tough loss , but a great season congrats. I was hoping for a match with Texas as well, growing up and following college baseball I remember some great game between ASU and the likes of USC, Texas and Okla St. Should be a good series, I give the edge to UT who is playing great right now.

We've had more talented teams in Omaha before but none of them had the heart and focus of this one.
