Do you also have umm

Legen of the Liquid Sword?

BtS was pretty good man...but their first one had EVERYTHING RIGHT. THe Right Kung Fu Samples, the right dense story telling rhymes, the best beats. THe only wack song was BIBLE which was a bonus track for the cd!!(not on the tape...of which I have both)

I like Legend a little better than Beneath.

I still recite Kung Fu lines from Liquid Swords!!!!

Wu Tang needs to come back with something great again.... HIP HOP needs some fresh ideas now...BADLY!!!!

What if one was to combine the rhythm of reggae, the spirituality of Hebrew chants, and beat boxing? Well you'd get Matisyahu. Outstanding stuff. He's doing a tour with Trey later in Sept.

I'm probabbly about to get the old Motley Crue cds( cds before Dr Feelgood, which I own--and since only Decade of Decadence was any good after it), The Game's cd, Ice Cube's greatest hits, and NWA Legacy V1 and 2.

But my question is....

on the White Stripes.

I loved Elephant, what can be told about:
[Image: B000068OSJ.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg][Image: B00097A5H2.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg]
[Image: B000068OSK.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg][Image: B00005YTFQ.01._SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg]

I am thinking about getting these cds. What is the word on the street about their other efforts?

The Stripes latest effort, "Get Behind me Satan" is my favorite. White Blood Cells is good too (check out "I can tell we're gonna be friends" off the Napoleon soundtrack. I was unaware they had more than 3 albums, before I bought Get Behind me Satan. Though I've heard a few of the songs off the first two. One more cup of coffee" is a good song. Not sure what album it's off of though. And my musical taste is very eclectic. I can get down to just about anything.

I agree with Ziggy, "White Blood Cells" is pretty good. I just picked up "Get Behind Me Satan", so I'll let you know about that after a few listens.

IMO, you shouldn't waste a dime on any southern rap save Scarface and Crooked Lettaz (disbanded group of David Banner & Kamikazee (former AP writer believe it or not)). Some hip hop worth listening to:

Saul Williams- not really hip hop per se, more of a poet/black rocker/thespian/a more powerful Mos Def, sans the high profile

Immortal Technique- NPR for the hip hop generation

I think Scarface is a stand up guy... but I neither like him nor dislike him in any kind of way.

I personally think he was better w/ teh Ghetto Boys. And I got a chance to get "We Can't Be Stopped" that had " Mind Playing Tricks on Me" and while I liked that song I hated the rest of the tape.

Actually...I think most folks would also like these from Wyclef Jean:
[Image: B0002WZTB6.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg][Image: B0000C9ZLB.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg]

I prefer his solo stuff to any of the Fugees stuff. OR Laurin Hills solo cd.
