What I've listened to most in the last 5 years, but not necessarily came out in said time follows my all-time list closely....

1) Coldplay - Clocks
2) The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
3) Paul Van Dyk - Politics of Dancing
4) Sevendust - Angel's Song
5) Duran Duran - Ordinary World
6) Hoobastank - Disappear
7) DJ Goonie - Goonie's Mix Volume 3
8) Fear Factory - Resurrection
9) Fear Factory - Cloning Technology (Replica)
10T) Happy Hardcore - Bittersweet Symphony
10T) Vast - Free

I am easily seduced by rock music with a symphony orchestra, or at least the feel of one. Even a good piano will do. #1, #2, #4 go by this. I also like the entire Metallica S&M album, but I really wish there was a *good* studio rendition of the same work.

If anybody knows of good rock+symphony music... please do post.

It's not really a symphony, but Ben Folds always uses a piano. If you listen to a couple of songs off of his live album it is cool, because he has the crowd sing some of the back up harmonies.

I want to say the songs I am thinking of are:

Army & Not the same, but don't quote me on that.

Try the Goats 'We Shall All Be Healed' album if you haven't already. I think if John Darnielles's voice wasn't so 'different', they would be my favorite band. Music and lyrics are incredible.

Easily one of the best lyricists of modern music, definitely.

I love "We Shall All Be Healed," it's a solid follow-up to Tallahassee. Although The Coroner's Gambit is probably still my all-time favorite of his..

Man I give you props on Audiosalve and POD. Audioslaves cd is one of the few cds you will actually listen to the whole CD. PODs last 3 cds have all been good--I think I didg Sattelite most however.

I love Velvet Revolver!!!
I like all of Kid Rocks new stuff.
Public Enemys' THere's a Poison Goin on had some real good songs
Staind and Godsmack I've gotten into too
Limp Biskits new Cd I loved: Head for thre Barricade, Behind Blue Eyes, and a few others.
I like a few new songs off the Beastie Boys last cd... and Ithin it makes the cut but off Hello Nasty I loved Intergallactic, Shame in the Game(?), 3 MCs...

I really like Creeds stuff.

Umm I dug that song Tipsy by _____
Lil FLips song where hes playing video games at the beginning of the video is pretty cool.
I think its Lil John's song ..but they sample Ozzy's Crazy Train in it rocks

Does it count if you bought the cd in the last 5 years?
Cause if so...

KRS ONE's greatest hits cd is a must!!!
Aerosmiths 2 Disc Greatest Hits is a must
Say what you want but that Michael Jackson Ultimate Collection box set kicks ***.
I got the Led Zepplin Early and Later Days hits cds...they 04-rock
Also got the Lynyrd Skynyrd Greatest hits cd...sounds real good

^^ Yeah...thsoe cds were good..I got the greatet hits just because it had his hits on it.....and since i never really got into him during the time those cds came out. basically the Greatest hits waters your mouth for getting the back catalog. Sort of like when I got ACDC Live and liked a lot of the songs I had previously never heard before....I went and started investing in getting the back catalog.
