So my friends and I went out to our favorite bar last night. We've been going there since I turned 21 because I was the last one to turn that wonderful age. So we've been going for at least a few months, and by now, the bartenders and even regulars that come there know who we are.
We went into the back room to play some darts. And my friends started talking to one another about how two suspicious looking guys were undercover cops. I wasn't paying too much attention because I was kicking butt in darts, but they did seem like cops because all they did was stand, not talk, and watch people.
After I got done throwing my darts, I turn back to the table to sip my beer, and before I know it, the two guys swarm me, throw out their badges, and demand they see my I.D. It was straight outta the movies. You would've thought I had drugs, a gun, and a knife on me with the way they did it. I was so pissed--I knew that if they WERE undercover cops, they were probably watching me. I threw out my I.D. with my hands shaking because they seriously got up in my face--I was surprised and so pissed! After he looked at it, he said, "Okay, you looked a little young to be in here." Talk about adding insult to injury. He was considerably nicer after he found out I was 21, which I found amusing. After they got done harrassing me, they left...they didn't card anyone else in the whole bar!
I know I look really young, but it sucks when you can't go out to a bar or something and not have people looking at you like you're not supposed to be in there. People said I'll enjoy it later, but now it just annoys the $hit outta me. :bang:

Another reason to love going out in Lafayette, LA. The only time I get carded is to get in to the bar. After that, the drinkin is on. And I'm still 20 right now. 7 more weeks till I turn 21!!!

I know how you feel Tasha...I look young too, even the little kids I work with say I look really young, which is actually sorta scary. Anyway there's this one liquor store I go in to up here...my 19 year old friend goes in and they don't say a word or card her and it wasn't until my last week up here that I didn't get carded up there. Even when they card me they tell me I look way too young. It gets really annoying when people don't believe I'm 21.

Quote:He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark mustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the side of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.
