Last week, the ACC won the ACC/Big10 challenge 7-2. Over the weekend, it seemed as if we were playing an unofficial ACC/SEC challenge. Here are the results so far...

Georgia Tech - 87
Georgia - 49

Miami - 72
Florida - 65

North Carolina - 91
Kentucky - 78

Florida State - 69
Ole Miss - 64

Clemson - 63
South Carolina - 62

Virginia - 89
Auburn - 87

ACC - 6
SEC - 0

How can you explain

Florida St. 67
Texas A&M- Corpus Christi 70

Florida St. 59
Kent State 69

Florida State 70
TCU 71

Miami 50
South Carolina STATE 60

Maryland 92
GW 101

VMI 72
VA Tech 68

Seems as though the ACC steps it up when playing big schools, but can definitely blow the easy wins.

P.S.- keep beating the $EC!!

Florida State, Miami, and VaTech are pathetic...

George Washington just played with heart that game. I think Maryland got a wake up call, I don't think they were prepared for that.

Kent State is a quality bball team -- and will likely be in the tourney with Toledo.

GW will be ranked after defeating two Top 25 teams in two days... they are 5-1, losing only to Wake.

Did you realize that TAMU-CC has beaten these teams in addition to FSU:

Baylor, TCU, Old Dominion, just to name a few.

Their only loss is to Kent State...they are not a weak team anymore.

Men's team is 3-3 with wins over LA Tech and Rice and a loss to a very talented LSU team. LSU is my suprise team this year. Their inside combo is very talented.

Women's team is 5-1 with their only loss to #5 Stanford.

How's Ole Piss doing?

Only if all the at-large bids aren't taken up by BCS conferences. I agree that KSU and Toledo are both very good and come selection time definitely deserve consideration for an at-large bid should they not win their conference tourney.

To cover a few more...

TCU is dangerous when their shot is on... they blewout Texas Tech on their homecourt.

SC State has easily been the most impressive "low-major" -- quality wins everywhere. They have a quality team.. and will steamroll the MEAC.

I make no explanations for Va Tech.. they're awful and will finish last in the ACC.

This is the ACC's year. The SEC is way down from last year when it beat the ACC in head-to-head competition. It won't be close this year.
