And in eight out of 10 nations, those polled said — often in landslide proportions — that they hoped to see Democrat John Kerry beat President Bush in next month's election. Bush won backing from a majority of respondents only in Russia and Israel.

Gee, go figure....the two other countries that are constantly attacked by terrorists and aren't living in la la land.

Why do they even waste time and money on these polls?

On a related note...More foreign involvement

Do they really think this will influence the election? If I got a letter from some snooty, liberal Brit telling me how I should vote, I'd do the opposite.

The polls were conducted in Canada, France, Britain, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Mexico, Israel and Russia, with results to be published in the participating newspapers on Friday. Not all questions were asked in every country.

That hooked on phonics works, you know. The other two in the POLL.

Are you suggesting Bush could walk three blocks in Baghdad without being strung up on the nearest intact telephone pole?

Not with Al Queda there....as he stated before. Thanks to Bush, they're there instead of here.
