Xavier's pulling away from Tejas. It's 57-50 midway through the 2nd half. There could be as many A-10 teams (St. Joe's/Xavier) in the Elite 8 as the ACC and Big 12, and more represented than the SEC.

BTW, resident prick Teddy Valentine tossed Rick Barnes with :03 left in the game when it didn't look like Barnes did anything outrageous. You do not throw a coach out of an NCAA tournament game unless it's for something like running out on the floor. Leave it to Teddy-V to steal the show yet again.

you sound just like that stupid analyst on the CBS post game show. How do you know what happened on the court? You have no idea. Barnes might've totally provoked him. What you said is totally out of line.

I said because of the double-standard Valentine showed. Whether Barnes dropped an F-Bomb (which it looked like he did because the camera was zoomed in on him when Valentine tossed him) or not, Valentine officiated the Tech/Duke game at Cameron when Coach K dropped about 30 F's (including some directed right at the refs), was all over the floor, etc. If you don't eject a coach for something like K did in a reg. season game, then you don't do it in a tourney game. You just don't unless it's something blatant (a la Larry Eustachy's tirade in the 2000 Elite 8 vs Michigan State).

One more thing about Barnes provoking...maybe he did, but a professional ref is supposed to turn his back and walk away. Instead, Valentine got right up in his face and egged Barnes on.

it's pretty hard to walk away.

Also, i doubt he was egging him on.

This is a pretty stupid argument, we both sound like idiots
