I've already listed CNNSI's rankings, and according to them FSU is #5, Louisville is #20, and NC State is #23. That's it.

For some reason, all the other publications don't recognize Clemson's powerful team in the ACC this year either? Not Fox Sports or CBS Sportsline or Sporting News or Street and Smith's or Athlon.

And as for our players... We have more 1st, 2nd , and 3rd team All-Americans than Clemson does in every single publication I've seen.

Again, I'd encourage you to pay more attention and watch Louisville this year in football. You seem to have this negative impression of our play simply because we're in Conference USA.

Denver is in the Sun Belt.
Buffalo isn't in Middle America.
San Diego St. is by no means in the mountains.

UofLSig, I said BCS rankings. Not the AP poll that your still talking about...it's the BCS. (only 15 teams) So you can't be #20 in the BCS. Also I never said that Clemson was ranked in the preseason, but if we were in your conference and played your schedule, then I'm sure it would be very very possible.

P.S.
CNN (a real web-site) knows that we play in a real conference. Go ACC!

The BCS rankings will not be released until the season starts, and I garauntee that Clemson will not be in them.

I'm frankly not sure what the Top 15 teams in the BCS formula have got to do with this discussion, but I'll list them here anyway, just so you won't use that (a real wesbite!) line again that you apparently think is so clever but has yet to make a point at all.

As you'll notice, the ACC representative, Maryland, was ranked 10th in the BCS poll (ie the lowest of any automatic bowl berth from the big 6 conferences).

The BCS for this season has not yet been released, of course. Most all college football experts would put money down that Louisville's name would make an appearance in those rankings before Clemson's this year.

Got any other random polls you'd like for me to list, without them proving a single point?

UofLSIG, I do have a question for you that has to do with your last post. You stated got any other random polls you would like for me to list without them proving a single point ? Well I want to know why everyone is so up on Louisville's defense. Only way to tell is by the teams that they played, but I didnt see any good offensive teams that they played, if im not mistaken Kentucky was your highest SOS at #20. Im not going to get into the SOS thing, miami won the national championship and they wound up at #18. What I am trying to say is that Louisville played some weak offensive teams, compared to what FSU will bring to Papa Johns Stadium, but the talk is all about your defense.

Have to disagree with you on this one UofL. I would be willing to bet that we have a better shot at cracking the BCS top 15. If you'll remember back in 1998 another team from your conference, Tulane, went undefeated and was still not a top 10 team. That being said, the only way Louisville makes it into the BCS is if you go undefeated. That is a very impressive task considering all it takes is one bad game. Also Louisville has to play FSU. FSU might of had some problems this past season but trust me they are sporting one of their better teams and are probably a little pissed off about last season.

Louisville HAS to go undefeated which means beating a tough FSU team to even have a shot at being ranked by the BCS while Clemson has the benefit of being able to lose one or two, maybe even three games and still being ranked by the BCS.

Clemson has a better shot at being BCS ranked.

Sig, I mentioned the BCS rankings, that are listed from last year on CNNSI.com. I know that the final BCS that counts comes out at the end of the year. I was just asking you to show me where you guys were ranked at in the BCS, that's it. I also hope you guys make it out of your conference soon, please keep sending messages, maybe it'll work.

BUT I tend to disagree on some points.

Louisville played...

The #1 team in the nation in Total Offense (BYU) at 542 yards per game, and held them to 10 points, and less than 200 yards.

Louisville played...

The #28 team in Total Offense (Tulane with Patrick Ramsey) and held them to 7 points, and less than 200 yards.

Florida State was the #26 team in total offense. While I think that your offense is exceptional, and I love the potential Chris Rix has displayed it is hard to say that Louisville hasn't played any offensively minded teams.

Louisville played the #27 team in Total Offense in Illinois. That was a ROUGH game, LOL.

Louisville played the #35 (East Carolina) and the #36 team (Cincinnati) in Total Offense, and beat both of them.

So... Louisville played 6 teams ranked in the Top 36 in the country in Total Offense, and beat 5 out of 6 of them last year.

Louisville was 10th in the nation last year in scoring defense at 17 pts per game.

We also return 10 of 11 defensive starters and added 10 new recruits to that side of the ball.

FSU will not score easily on offense. If you remember back 2 years ago, FSU scored 17 offensive points against Louisville. The other 2 TDs were directly attributable to defense.

I can't wait for the game. This is our put up or shut up game!

UofL, I still say the teams Louisville played were not of the caliber that the Noles bring to the field in terms of offense. Remember the Gator Bowl 2001 FSU vs VTech?? The Hokies had one of the top defenses in the country, if im not mistaken, one of the top 2 defenses. This year, just like your defense, the NOLES return everyone, except for a couple of players, BUT, also the injured players that would have had a big impact on last year also return. All I'm saying is that Louisville has not played a team that can move the ball like FSU, not to mention that its a team this year that everyone thinks is finished,, so they will be out to prove everyone wrong, including the Cardinals, for you it may be your put up or shut up game, for us its only the beginning, we will have alot of football to play. For some reason, the Noles step it up on a Thursday night, especially when there is something to prove. Louisville will have to bring their A game on every down, every single play. Watch out for Chris Davis too, I just checked out his highlight films, another Peter Warrick, only alot faster. See you in September

As much as I hate to admit it I have to agree with Garnet and Gold FSU may not have the top ranked offense but they are just so much faster than everyone else you just wont be able to catch up, that is why until last season they rarely lost an ACC game, their guys are just faster than everyone else. I know Louisville has a good football program that is on the rise but I would be shocked if you were able to beat FSU.

I won't be shocked if Louisville makes a game of it, if Louisville makes FSU worry and sweat... but I can still say that I'd be shocked if we won it.
