I didn't have many nuns as teachers, only one way back when I was in the sixth grade. She taught Catechism. anyway, one day she didn't really have anything planned and we all started bombarding her with "what if..." questions. When I got a chance to ask Sister Mary Blowhard a question, mine was of a different bent.

She immediately chastised me and said, "God doesn't like negative thoughts and if you think negatively He will punish you."
And I replied, "so we don't have free will.."
And she banished me out to the hallway. After catechism my schoolmates came and ostracized me for not believing the way they do. I told them to go fock themselves and I was better off intellectually because I didn't accept false realities.

That is when one kid, I think his name was Calling the Hawgs, but this kid beat me up and said that would teach me for questioning his faith!

No, seriously (most of that above story IS true) I only had a few priest teachers in high school, but they taught Latin and Physics--niether of which I was much interested in. Most of my teachers were normal working folks who actually had at least a master's degree in the subjects they taught. That is why that school was so good, also the Catholics didn't censor anything. It was no-holds barred teaching!

I still hate Christ-stains though! :D
