Scam.

May try to find some security hole, plant a trojan horse or glean info.

Seriously, did you ever give your email address to your bank?

Even if yes, it's better to check w/ your bank directly, rather than click on a dubious link.

Honestly, spammers have to be crackers/hackers these days, b/c no one orders any of their "products".

Zero sales * any amount of messages= zero sales.

A visit to <a href='http://usbank.com' target='_blank'>http://usbank.com</a> reveals a link to the <a href='http://www.usbank.com/cgi_w/cfm/promo/personal/email_fraud_alert.cfm' target='_blank'>following page.</a>

Quote:This weekend, a small number of our customers received a fraudulent email using the U.S. Bank name and logo. It informed them that their account had been suspended as a result of being compromised by outside parties. It was an attempt by cyber-criminals to collect personal information from the recipient by instructing the user to click on a link in order to verify their identity and have their account reinstated.

This email was a fraudulent scam. Neither your personal U.S. Bank account information nor our U.S. Bank systems have been compromised in any way. The fraudulent Web site listed in the email was shut down within hours, and we are working aggressively with law enforcement officials to resolve this incident.

Definitely a scam. I've been getting those "confirm your account" emails for a bunch of different companies lately - Earthlink, eBay, PayPal, Comcast, Bank of America, etc...
