Let's be honest here. Delta St is probably playing the best football in Mississippi.

Any given SEC slate has at least three Top 25 opponents.

klordway Wrote:Hey put your money where your mouth is, and come into MAC country on a 1 for 1 deal (and I don't mean E. Michigan or Buffalo, The bottom half of our conference is really bad. I will concede that much). Remember you still have to play game against one of those MAC victims (Alabama). I've looked at who Ole Miss has played this year and havn't been impressed. Until you play someone without being forced (i.e. a conference game) your program has no room to talk. The one Mississippi loss came to anoter 2-1 team that has a less than impressive schedule defeating a 1-AA team and losingto another team from Mississippi (S. Miss., probabaly the best FB in the state of Mississippi) who edged out UAB and lost to Cal(1-3) managing only a safety. One of the best quotes that I saw all week was one that commented on how if the SEC beat 3 ranked teams with 2 top ten teams they would be singing their own praises, assumung they would sceduled 3 top 25 teams. If the SEC or any BCS conference scheduled like the MAC's top half then they would be unable to field all their bowl committments. The polls have considerable problems considering that they show human bias (ex. Bowling Green is 3-1 with the loss to Ohio St. 17-24 and a win over Purdue who is ranked (the other BG wins were 2 1-AA teams for a combined 109 pt. margin of victory. Actually looks like K-state scheduling except for the 2 Big 10 teams). Purdue is 2-1 beating Wake and Arizona. Yet BG is unranked. On a side note I think the only reason the SEC keeps Vandy is so that when the rest of the conference is on probation then they still have the BCS covered.
MAC country? I love it. And I'd be more than thrilled to play either Marshall or Toledo in a home and home AS I STATED EARLIER. Man, you guys sure do some selective reading, don't you? And please stop making pleas for us to play some MAC team and implying that we are somehow afraid of you. Please look at that and really read it again. You are implying that an SEC team is scared to play a MAC team? Pfft, please! You sound ridiculous, all of you. Again, bring on Marshall or Toledo, but none of the 12 powder-puffs in the MAC. Beating the hell out of those 12 pansies will prove nothing. If we're going to schedule anyone in the MAC, I'd prefer it to be the best in your conference, and even your best is average. We beat Marshall once already in the Toilet Bowl, but I guess you need some more proof that little Ole Miss can't beat a MAC team. We've never lost to a MAC team, but I guess you didn't read that part of this thread either, did you? Trust me, if I made the schedule, Ole Miss would play a home and home with the Rockets and Herd, but I don't get to make the schedule do I?

And Missy Southern is the best team in the state of Mississippi? That's saying so much isn't it? Both Ole Miss and Mississippi State suck, admittedly, but Missy Southern has always been and will always be our little sister to the South. And Missy Southern would beat 90% of the MAC teams on a regular basis, so figure that one out on your own. 03-wink

Marshall would probably play better than Texas Tech. They've played one decent team (N.C. State) this year and got trounced.

Texas Tech 49

Troy St 33
Marshall 24

I don't think I'd be making fun of another team getting beat by Texas Tech, who happens to have one of the best offenses in the nation, when my team just got beat by one of the shittiest teams in universe.
But oh wait, lemme guess.....you're gonna come up with some lame-arse reason as to why Troy St might just be the best up and coming teams around right now, right?

.....and Texas Tech is no slouch. They beat us the year we beat the Florida Gators. MAC fans, wanna talk ****** about the Gators? I can FLOOD this board with Gator fans.

You guy's problem (MAC fans), is you don't look at history. I will give you props for this part of the year, but even a year does NOT make a legacy. When I hear stupid ****** like SECond rate conference, etc., I give NO merit to the moron posting the post. The SEC is, and always WILL be, one of the toughest conferences in the nation, if not THE toughest. We have 3 teams in the top 10. That's not matched by ANY conference.

Got Stats? :D

Here's a clue...Kliff Kingsbury is gone and Texas Tech's offense is far less this year.

And "blah blah blah, we beat Florida...". Yeah, how is that any different than MAC fans talking about big wins? You want to know how that's different? Florida had 5 losses, and really wasn't that great of a team. MAC fans at least know to brag about good wins, not just "our sole win".

And it's you that doesn't know history...the MAC has won many big games...and without the cheating that goes on in the SEC.

You want legacy? No one tops the SEC in sanctions and cheating.

BTW, RebelKev, I changed my sig...but it's still about you.

Have a nice day. :)

Further proof of FlamerBoy's ignorance. Hey Torched, do you read the papers very often or read up on football at all? There is life outside the MAC, real football is being played. Please go look up where Texas Tech's offense is ranked, then come back and try to make that same statement again.
