On the CNN.com front page under "Breaking News":

"Air Midwest commuter plane with 19 people aboard crashes into airport hangar in Charlotte, North Carolina. Details to come."

Reports on the radio here say that Carolinas Medical Center isn't expecting any patients... which apparently = no survivors.

The plane was destined for Greenville-Spartanburg International in SC... i.e. - where I live.

That'll be the last time for a long time the GSP area makes national headlines.

Sorry for the familes involved, but at the same time glad that thing didn't land on me.

A few days ago the exact same model plane as that made an emergency landing at GSP International b/c they didn't know if the nose gear was down. We have a scanner b/c a family member is a fire fighter... they toned off 7 fire departments for that little incident.
