You can't find even one publication out there on the internet that will call Eric Checnowith the preseason player of the year in the country or his own conference.

Some people may have said Gregory was going to become the next Jordan, but nobody ever actually said he was already there the way national pundits labeled Du-du-du-duhon as the 2nd best point guard in the NCAA this year.

I think ESPN was actually the main place that was on the Chenowith for NPOY bandwagon.

BTW, Duhon's college career, even his soph season, isn't over.

Yes, Duhon still has time to redeem himself. At this point though he isn't even close to being worthy of the hype.

BTW, I am officially calling bullsh*t on your claim that ESPN anointed Chenowith the preseason national POY.

Now, after Chenowith's sophomore year he was given some pub as the second best center in his own conference behind Chris Mihm of Texas. Hardly hype as a POY candidate though.

I already pointed out that he received national praise when I told you he was one of the 30 preseason finalists for the Naismith award.

You are backpaddling so fast I am being sucked in my the undertow man.

Also, if you stop to think for a second you would remember that scrotumhead was anointed national POY by everyone and their mothers before a game was even played last season.

The season before that he wasn't even considered the best CENTER in his own conference(Chris Mihm), let alone a POY candidate.

You are absolutely getting flogged on this one kid.

When I said National Praise, I meant Nationally praised as top 5 or 10, not just top 30. I still think he was preseason NPOY, I will look it up.

All of the sites have deleted the info I read as it is now obsolete. I did ask around, and almost everyone I asked (including some KU fans) admitted Chenowith was given the preseason NPOY award by at least 1 major publication.

I'll be back to this thread in a bit to give you a handful more of "more over rated players than Duhon in the past ten years".
