You need to know what model # your CD-RW is to update the firmware for it.

So you look in all the included manuals.
It's not there.

Next you call tech support.
They will say they cannot get that info, and they then give you the product info number to call.

You call product info.
You go through the menu to the appropriate place, and it says it will route you to the place you need to be.

You are then disconnected.

You call back and try again.

No, it's no fluke, you're disconnected again.

you know, i had a similar experience when i tried to upgrade my ram on my fully upgradeable compaq. i was finally directed to a website where i had to fill in all this information and then they sent me an e-mail back telling me the parts that i needed... which made it more economical to buy a new computer. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
