Have any of you ever accidently driven with the parking brake on for..oh, say 2 minutes, and then have your brakes respond weaker afterwards...how much did it cost for the repair? I'm just trying to brace myself until I actually see what it ends up being. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[fridge]" title="" src="graemlins/fridge.gif" />

You had your brakes on for two minutes. All the parking brake does is apply the rear brake. You may have heated up your disc/drum which will cause your brakes to feel spongy. Once it cools off, your brakes should feel fine. Depending on the shape of the rear brakes prior to your mistake, you may be ok. If the shoes, or pads, were getting thin anyway, you may have just moved a brake job up. Not a big deal for the most part.
